Now we’ve taken it one step further with Stage II: a luxurious nine-level addition.
The new Hobson Street Tower will stand proudly above the city on Hobson Street, directly alongside the hotel’s current site. By completion in early 2010, the two buildings will be joined together, creating a 269 room urban oasis in the heart of Auckland.
The number of rooms on offer will increase by a third, with many of the spacious new suites boasting breathtaking views of the Auckland harbour, Westhaven and the harbour bridge (not to mention contemporary décor and the latest creature comforts).
And that’s just for starters. The restaurant and bar facilities will almost double, extending the length of the new building and offering innovative, international dining for guests and locals alike. By September 2009, the hotel entrance and lobby will also be refurbished and revitalised, making room for a stylish café at street level.
Two floors of world-class conference facilities, with state-of-the-art equipment and a multitude of function rooms will complete the picture.
